Default SRi Headlights into an LS - Any Issues?

Been contemplating hunting down a set of SRi (black lens) headlights for my preface LS. Just prefer the look of them to be honest, nothing wrong with my current ones.

Was wondering though, is this just a straight swap, or are there any problems with doing this? The LS is pretty basic and doesn't have any motors or anything attached to the lights for levelling etc, and I wondered if the SRi ones do?

    Appreciate any advice.

As above biggest pain is removing the bumper to fit them

No, be fine mate, alot of people have done this. Even the ls models have progector balls anyway, its only the background colour thats different, just make sure there standard sri ones though and not xenon gsi or afl's, you will know as there is around 300 quid and standard sri lights 100 quid, they look same just more brains internally basically.

    Cheers guys.

Was aware the bumper would need to come off. Not too bothered about that as long as I know the lights would fit ok.

    One other question........

Are the 3rd party ones going for sale on the bay worth bothering with, or are they just cack?

I'm also thinking it may be better to stick with OEM in case one ever got damaged. At least then I know I can get a replacement that will match.

Have got smoked ones fited to the rear now, and have also changed the 3rd brake light from the original red to a clear. (might tint it to match the rear clusters better, not sure yet)

Other than that I have changed the side repeaters for some clear ones and removed the LS badges from above them.

Oh, and I've stuck chromed indicator bulbs in as well.

Small changes, but I think they make a nice difference to the car.

EDIT: Just realised that you are the fellow that I bought the rears off of, but you've changed your forum name for some reason. Your sig still has the old name though!
