oil filter help

well lads just trying to do an oil change here at the min but cant seem to locate the oil filter

can anybody put a pic up or direct me to it please

Which Engine?

what engine you got? On my 2.2DTi it's a cannister type in a black housing next to the EGR valve at the front.

its a 1.9 cdti 06

Its low down on the rear of the engine and needs a 32mm socket or similar to undo the filter housing lid. The lid faces downwards.

Pain in the ass place to put an oil filter! Make sure you put some cardboard down or you will most likely have oil all over your driveway!

Why did they decide to locate it down there? Engine space?

You have to jack the car up and get under it and it's towards the back of the engine somewhere in the middle
