Yeah the sri's are lower than the standard ones. I would personaly change the pair mate. i had one snap a few months back. the garage that does most of my work for me got one from a motor factor and it was no where near the thickness or quality of the original. his words to me were thin & crap. either go to the main dealer or get a genuine second hand one from the scrappy
Idealy i would dig out the receipt & try & get one matching.
Otherwise http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vauxhall-V...item43a819c1d3
i had my last one from the scrappy (genunine vauxhall one) though as i the same as you wanted to save a couple of squids.
and of course the stealers only sell them in pairs and they dont come very cheap. if i can remember right they were bout £140. couple of quid more and i coulda changed the lot & lowered it

I ordered a pair of rear ones for the father in laws, Couldnt believe how much thicker they were compared to the rubbish ones that had been put on before. he's done 192000! So has went through a couple sets now. Only paid £60 the pair
just be aware it probably wont be the same quality as a genuine one
go for KYB realy good and price is ok
take into consideration that you have split the strut to change the spring its not as straight forward as the rears.
