My Vec got bumped

someone ran into the back of me last week at a junction.
bust the bumper & bent the exhaust

the vec was looking pretty sorry for itself.
but second hand bumper £200 supplied & resprayed and new back box £70 and good as new.
Luckily there was no damage to the back panel. & it missed the boot and tail light.
All fitted by myself thanks to the how 2's on here,

looks good, but why did you get a 2nd hand bumper and not claim from their insurance?

they paid cash i was happy to accept a second hand bumper as long as it was like new & resprayed as the third party didnt have much funds

I could of been awkward but as i said to the guy that hit me as long as its the way it was before you hit me i dont care. the bumper looks brand new anyways. Fair play to the guy who sprayed it he done a excellent job. think im gonna use him to get my side skirts resprayed. i even fitted the parts myself to save costs and partly because i dont trust garages who i dont know

indeed it did lol. i expected a golf to be a little stronger than that. i think the tail pipe on the vec done most of that damage. the splitter was all pushed in aswell but i poped that out before the photo was taken
