I'm a big iPhone apple fan....so they would be my choice. I'd perhaps wait a whole to see what the iPhone 5 brings, a million and one rumours on net at minute but talk of release in October I think.

worried about breaking it though, if i worked in an office it would be ideal , how ever i am a heating engineer and it will take the odd knock from time to time

I've got the Samsung Galaxy S, does everything an iphone does plus its slimmer, lighter and has the Android software!

There is a Samsung Galaxy S 2 out now might be worth a look!

I have got an iPhone 4 and have got a MAGPUL case for it... I work in and out of the office and have dropped it a few times and it has been OK....

I am a plumber so similair work to you + digging up and laying concrete floors so my phone can sometimes take a bit of rough and tumble.

To solve this (goes for iphone too) you can buy a flip cover for it which protects the whole phone, they are on ebay for like £3 or so, well worth a buy!

the only problem is i still love my nokia n96 its been dropped a thousand times , still works has garmin xt sat nav.
