    Default Passenger Window

    Hi guy

My friend has a vectra c preface lift
His issue is when he tries and put the window up it'll take a good few pushes to get up.

Going down is not as much a issue but does judder abit.

Any advice before I take the door card off.

It sounds like his contacts need a clean in the switch. Look in the HOW2 section for it.

As said above check the condition of the rubber. Could also be that the runners need greasing.

Sounds like a mixture of both issues...

Difficulty getting the window to respond to the door switch, is a dirty switch contact.
Dismantle and clean the switch innards to restore service.

Juddering movement of the glass sounds like the seal strips dragging on the glass.. quick clean and lube will sort this... back to black or a rubber conditioning solution should help with this.
