Question e - ciggies anyone tried?

Well there were these guys selling e ciggies t'other day. So I heard them saying that they were OK to "smoke" them in pubs / public places. Got to be worth getting one, just for that self-satisfied 'being able to smoke in a pub' feeling, methinks

So i get a pack: one cig plus 2 tip refils (good for 150 cigs worth)... and b***** me, only had 4 real ones yesterday after I bought them... instead of about the usual 20. Well impressed!

Taste a bit weird at first and strangely if you overdo them and take too big a drag, you can end up coughing your guts out

    Let's see how today goes

I read that some airlines are also allowing them to be used on aircraft.

My boss uses them. She makes her own refils now and has gone from 80 a day to none..

The missus and my mate are both on them just now. I gave up ages ago but they have both tried everything and can't seem to do it. It's early days for them both (about a week) but it seems to be working. They've both gone from around 20 a day to only a few a day with the e-cig as backup.

    Good luck to them both

Seems to be going a really good job of cutting the 'real' ones down... impressed, especially as I only bought them on a bit of a whim, rather than thinking "I want to quit today"

On the subject of stopping smoking I can totally recommend Allan Carr's Easyway book!

If you read it ready and open minded it is fantastic.

I finished the book, smoked my last cigarette and knew it would be my LAST ONE EVER.

I have been a happy non smoker for 8/9 months now and have never missed them.

I truly know I will not fall back into the trap!

    I was a 20 a day smoker for 20 years!

And no I am not on a retainer/commission!

There are several brands on the market, mate and I'm not sure about the differences. You can also get flavoured ones if you smoke menthols, for example.

The one I bought was the i CIG iCIG.co.uk and I've no idea how it ranks in the big scheme of things, but I think the whole thing's worth a try
