    Default Removing 3rd brake light

Quick question, can i actually remove the 3rd brakelight without having to remove the VXR spoiler on a hatchback?

I am guessing their must be a way to remove it from the inside?

No theres no way of removing it from the inside and having just swapped mine a couple of weeks back I doubt you could do it without removing the vxr spoiler. I dont know how people get them out in one piece tbh.

Well thats a bit of design flaw aint it.

If your 3rd brake light fails you have to rip off your spoiler to change it! Clever!

They are an absolute joke to remove, I'm another one that ended up just smashing my red one to bits to get it out as I hadn't researched the best way to remove it. I've now done as was suggested in the other thread and drilled the 3 holes in the tailgate in case I eve need it out again.

****** stupid design if I ever saw one!

As an alternative to removing the vxr spoiler and replacing the faulty 3rd brake light, you could disconnect it and fit an after market one on the rear screen.
