Smile Mods for the next few weekends

Got some nice deliveries yesterday and today.

Blue LEDS (Steering wheel controls and most heater panel lights)
Red LEDS (Heater Panel buttons when pressed)
    Dashboard Dial's LED Conversion Blue/Red
Brushed Ally Foot Rest from Paul Sessions. Modding that at the moment. Big thanks Paul
Irmy bottom mesh grille for facelift. Thanks to vectrac150cdtifor the ebay link. It was only 30 quid.Sanding down and painting Matt black. Mainly to protect the condensor honest Ruff'd it up with 120 grit tonight to key it.
LED Board x5 for interior light and footwell lighting. Thanks Farley2708 for all the info I needed in buying and fitting.

The SMD's and a couple of the LED panels.

    The Irmy lower grille

So some of the stuff will not got straight it as it will take some time to complete. However I did put the interior light boards in tonight. Man they are bright. They don't seem to be exactly the same brightness but Im happy with them for now. I may swap the five around so I can find a better match.

Below is what I used to have. 8 SMD LED's, which were great (but wanted a bit more as per usual)

    Now for the LED boards

Next up is the Foot rest that I bought from Paul Sessions.

I could have fitted it straight away but I like to mod most things and I could not resist the temptation.

This is after I cut it for a more flush fit (Still needs a bit of sanding down in the right places to finish but almost there)

Don't get me wrong Pauls item did fit very well already. I Just can't help myself when I have an excuse to dust off my tools

A shot from the back, mostly untouched.

A shot from the front. Wanted to give it a bit more depth. The scratches are down to me (slipping opps) but too bothered as they will be sanded out.

I also have to find the right size rubber round pads to poke thought the holes, again matching the pedals I already have.

Well thats about it for the moment. If all goes well after this week end there should be less orange lights inside and maybe the grille painted but not laquered.

When I made my footrest I wanted it to match the foot pedals as closely as possible.

I drilled the holes with a stepped hole cutter to match the originals and then pushed rubber pads through the back.

These are the ones I used which I found to be the closest match to the rubber inserts in the pedals.

Thanks very much for the link mate. I have ordered some for a test fit.
