Default Enabling BC on CD40 Opera?

Is enabling BC on CD40 Opera the same as doing it on the CD70?

IE going up 1 variant in the coding?

There is a section in the display Variance Config, that selects the BC as being present.

If this is not set as present, then the folder will not be shown at the top of the display. (Assuming that a GID is fitted).

Incidentally, it can still be selected by pressing the BC button.

If it is not enabled in the display, then when you turn the head unit off, you will get the time, date and temperature displayed.

When you have it enabled in the display, you will get the range and MPG or L/100Km shown instead.

But as said above - It is the Code Index that "Enables" the board computer.

The variance config just affects how and when it is displayed.
