    Default Do Sri XPII / xp2 have a brake pad warning light

    My brakes are grinding and can't see if the pads are warn down ,

    Do these cars have a warning light or anything cone on the cd70 like when we have a bulb out ?

    Yes, they should have the warning light providing the wiring is connected up to the pads.

    Got a loud grind when brake but no warning unsure what to do

    I would check the condition of the brake pads asap. It is possible to remove the pad wear sensor and fool the system into thinking that it is still in place. It sounds like one or more of the pads has worn down to the metal.

    Will have to check it's 08 had all new when I bought it from perrys in jan with 40k now on 62k

    I had to put new pads AND DISCS on @ 30k!!

    Pads had worn right down and scored the discs!!

    Our beloved Veccy's tend to wear rear heavy, which is odd!

    If the noise is coming from the rear wheels and it is down to worn pads you wouldnt get a warning on the dash anyway as there is only one pad wear sensor and it is fitted to the front nearside caliper.
