Parts help req :D

I have just received a box of goodies from ECP, however i just wanted to check i havent been sent duff parts instead of the ones i ordered!

all other bits and pieces where what i ordered no probs but....

The drive belt i ordered was the more expensive conti-tech one, but i have recieved a dayco belt (same part number)

And the water pump i ordered was again the more expensive one (did not have a manufacturer name) and i have been sent a 'signature series' pump, apparently part of asc industries but to be honest the box looks like a cheap chinese deal. Plus am i supposed to get a gasket with this pump?

any help will be apreciated

Dayco are OE belts on a lot of motors.. no problems with that

Water pump should come with gasket yes.. never heard of that make.. but does sound foreign and the kind of tat ECP would buy

I can get Dayco belt for £11.65
Water pump - First Line for £39.50 (assuming your car is 16v)

it has got something shaped like a gasket but feels like cardboard!!

just off the phone, is not supplied with a gasket, and they do not stock them?

would the old gasket still be ok to use?

Personally i wouldnt.. get one from Vauxhall
