Have been looking to cut back on my spending recently. So a few months ago i phoned Sky and asked them to cancelled it. Ended up getting it half price for 6 months. I think Sky are well known for this.

I have phoned a few other placed like LoveFilm to cancel and they also offered me a discount too (although I did cancel them).CreditExpert gave me 1/2 price for 12 months!

Seems like a good idea just to phone all these companies and ask to cancel periodically to save some cash.

So where have you experienced this sort of deal and do you do it periodically even though you don't necessarily want to cancel?

Phoned T Mobile to get an upgrade, they said "No". I said ok put me through to the dept that deals with cancellations, "I can do that" she said. 5 minutes later contract cancelled after 8 years. T Mobile must have so many loyal customers they are happy to let them walk away.

is this open virgin customers or just new customers as im paying more for 10meg broadband phone on incoming calls and the tv which we dont use on freeview only

New customers only mate that are not in a VM cabled area , however am sure if you speak to retentions about the package deal sky has offered you (check deals) we should match or better it

Anything you can do for an existing customer? Im considering upgrading to TIVO and multi room if that helps?
