    Default CV Boot

    Just Done Cv Boot On The 206...******* Nightmare

    Query Is...For The M.O.T...Does Any CV Boots Have To Be On With Metal/Jubilee Clips Or Can I Get Away With Cable Ties ?

    Anybody Any Ideas ?

    mine are on with cable ties,as long as it`s secure.

    At one stage Vauxhall CV boot kits came supplied with cable ties.

    Then they started making the boots out of a stiffer plastic and cable ties were no longer strong enough to hold them on.

    In short, cable ties will be fine provided the CV boot is very flexible.

    cool cheers guys

    old cv boot was like a hard plastic...new 1 is far more flexible (rubber)

    did a CV boot on my wife's corsa. Agree they are a nightmare unless you have one of the air tools to expand them. I just had a cone I got with the kit and it was still a nightmare.
