smoke from cat on startup

guys, on startup idle theres smoke coming from the exhaust which looks like unburnt fuel, and i looked under the car today and theres smoke coming from the mesh looking part of the cat.....

any ideas, ive seen a issue with this before but cant seem to find it

is it likely to be the flexi joint gone on the exhaust?

Yes very common. Custom exhaust place should be able to sort it for you for £80.

what size is the flexi joint?

also would this cause smoke out of the exhaust?

mij do uni flexi joints so i may go for that if i can get the right size

Don't know the size for sure but 52mm or 56mm seems to ring a bell.

As for smoke what colour is it? You say unburn't fuel but is that what you smell or what you think you see? Think I had that with mine. It came out from underneath the car at the drivers door. Was coming from the bust flexi.
