    confused Tinging noise

    Hi all i hope maybe someone can help me,
    my vectra has been making a tinging noise when i start it up and only when it is cold once warmed up it's fine,
    the noise speeds up with the revs and it seams to be coming from the oil pump at the bottom of the crankshaft pullie,
    it's a 1.8 petrol 2004
    has anyone had this problem?
    don't want to have to pay out for a oil pump to find out it isn't that and the noise is traveling from somewhere else

    Can anyone help me please? Also found out it can't be the oil pump cause the noise goes away when I take off the alternator belt so I'm guessing it must be the adjuster pulley?
