Default MAS Performance good or bad?

This is probably been asked in the past but just wanted to know of peoples good or bad experiences with a mas remap please, thinking of going there in 3 weeks time to have EGR mapped out and remap plus Rolling Road.
What kind of increase did you get?
    Many thanks.

Yep. been asked before, look through the diesel tuning section, quite a few people have used MAS with great success.

Having put my Maptun stage 3 2.0T up against Martin's (Penfold101) MAS re-mapped 1.9 Diesel yesterday at Bruntingthorpe and struggling to gain on him at all down the 1 mile straight at 130mph+, I can vouch for the fact they certainly seem to go well. Whilst he couldn't get away from me, I wasn't really gaining on him either. Although here's a tip, upgrade your brakes (Martin will get that one lol)

Lol, only reason I mentioned it is because Martin seriously cooked his brakes on Sunday and nearly crashed into me as a result. I was just turning into the last bend and looked in my mirrors to see him coming towards me in a straight line with smoke coming out from the wheels, I accelerated hard into the corner and Martin took some avoiding action and we got away with it, but it scared the crap out of both of us lol.

Depends what size brake disks and calipers you currently have fitted and what sort of driving you're going to do, but most people tend to go for the 314mm front brake upgrade and the 292mm rear, but you can go up to the 345's if you've got a lot of spare cash floating around lol.

A set of 314's will usually cost you about £250 with discs and pads.

    Thanks.

Check this thread of Jezzy's for the different disk sizes fitted as standard. http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showthread.php?t=139088

Mine's currently got the standard 302's on the front and 292's on the back but I have a 314 upgrade sat here that's half painted ready to go. I paid £250 for that kit (second hand calipers, new disks and pads).

so would the 302's and 314's fit mine and if the discs were upgraded would i have to buy new callipers and pads or could i keep what i have, maybe yours will be up for sale soon then?

You can't put the bigger disks on without fitting the bigger calipers.

Yes my 302's will probably be up for sale once I've fitted my 314's, but don't hold your breath, I've had them sat here for about three months now and only got half of them painted so far lol
