    Default Sat nav disc is it ok to leave in

    Just wondered if it's ok to just leave the sat nav disc in. it was in when I got the car and ive just left it in.

    Yes I just didn't know when not using it should you take it out or just leave it in

    Leave it in, IMO, less chance of it getting scratched. Because, unlike that 'Tomorrows World' programme on the telly (for those of us old uns) you cannot drill a hole in a CD and cover it with jam and have it still work

    Bear in mind it can be ejected when the stereo is switched off. A would be thief could smash the window and have it away to get £10 down the pub for it to help pay for his next fix or packet of fags.

    Because of that, I made a back up copy that I leave in the stereo and the master CD stays at home in its box, which keeps it safe, secure, and in pristine condition. I won't go into detail how to back up the original as it's against site policy.

    Think I will take my chances on this not happening!
