    Default Any cdti owners on 2nite?????

    Hi guys well ive had my intake manifold done at last, juddering at 1800 revs now gone. But still have like a second turbo feel at 2200 revs anyone know what this problem is? It goes well but its like its got 2 turbos really annoying at times. Thanks in advance guys.

    EGR? Transition between EGR open and closing...?

    Can yank the EGR plug (you will get a code thrown), drive it, if the 'problem' goes away, then consider blanking / mapping out.

    Or it could be just a characteristic of the engine /turbo - my V6 diesel seems to feel the same, only around 2000 revs, where it gets its' legs.

    You may have a couple of things happening at around this engine speed: EGR shutting off and VNT tweaking the turbo geometry when you are going from pottering around speeds to 'let's give it some'.

    Just some thoughts

    Ive tried cleaning egr on it but i didnt split it to get solenoid out but seemed to be moving freely, it doesnt do it all the time but its a little problem thats niggling at me. My dads got same car so i might try his egr and boost sensor on mine see if it still there if it is i can look elsewhere.

    The jerk you feel is probably the swirl flaps opening up. Since you replaced the manfiold this will be present now. Will settle down though.

    The power jerk u mean yea? Hopefully it just needs running in then?

    Wish mine still done it. It will settle down once the EGR valve soots the manfiold up again.

    Lol thing is it was there before i had manifold done aswell but maybe that was due to the swirl bar falling off?

    It's normal anyway. The turbo spools up at 2,000rpm, and at 2,500rpm or just before (depends on how the car has been driven) the swirl valves open up fully. If the bar falls off and the valves are fully open you will get the same, but this is how the map on the ECU is set up. Other than that I don't think there is anything wrong.

    The wife has the 120 and she had a stutter at 1800 (Not sure if it is the same) but we changed the EGR and all is fine.

    Gazza thanks for your help mate appreciate it. Ginge ill try my dads egr as its the same but i think what gazza is sayin makes sense
