    Engine : Z19DTH

    Year : Nosey

    Default I'm all confused

My car is better and yet not better... The things it went in for are more or less fixed, I can finish the work and I'd rather do it myself so that it's done right.

At the same time though, lots of other bits got damaged!

How hard is it to fix one thing without braking another?

I just can't win. Still, I have the car back at the mo and hopefully, it will all be sorted before Santa Pod.

    I wouldn't be confused... i'd be livid

if you sent it somewhere to be repaired and they've done a poor job, throw it back at them and have a kick-off..

if they won't do a better job then it's off to trading standards..

    just my opinion

I got a free bar of chocolate during one of my last visits to the 'dealer' I'm now banned from. Some tw@ managed to smear it all over the rear seat. I wasn't impressed.

Take it back and kick off. To many of them seem to think poor workmanship is acceptable these days.

    It is'nt.

Only trouble with that Tony, is that you are likely to get it back with a whole new array of faults

Still, one positive, I did wonder if this was going to be a car thread or an admission.

we rarely (if ever) go a week without someone having a complaint against a vauxhall garage about the damage that has been done to their car whilst it's been in their posession supposedly repairing a fault.

it's amazing that any vx dealerships are still in business. i'm glad to report that the west drayton branch (which scratched my steering wheel whilst in their 'care') has shut down, brings a little smile to my face every time i drive by.

the branch at richmond i use seem to be fairly competent, especially as they now recognise me the minute i drive up!! "there comes that awkward so and so" they must whisper under their breaths, but i don't give a hoot! give me the car back in good nick and i'll sing your praises all day long!

hope you get it sorted Nutron....sorry to hijack the thread, just felt like venting!

Yep, I'd be very angry as well.. You are entrusting your property to them and would expect it to be treated with respect.

Thankfully when my car went in for its VXR treatment, the dealer really looked after it, delivered the fantastic job that they promised and I was really happy.....

.... and same goes with when I purchased the car from a different dealer all together.... I turned up, they had the car prepared immaculate !! and a big bunch of flowers for Diana !!..

I cannot fault the Vauxhall dealers that I have used so far .....

So it just goes to show that good service does exist...
