Default New Suspension Assembled And Ready To Go

Ordered all my new suspension bits a few weeks ago and FINALLY the shocks arrived today (although they were only despatched from Germany yesterday as it turns out so that's some going).

Anyway, I ordered H&R 40mm drop springs, Bilstein B6's (did originally order B8's but Bilstein don't have any and won't have for a while), new drop links, rear upper control arms, strut tops, strut top bearings, strut gaitors and bump stops (which didn't fit as it turns out).

The idea being to pre-assemble new suspension legs with all new parts so I can just swap the entire leg out with a lot less hassle and quicker (and keep my original ones assembled for spares incase I ever need to put them back on).

Anyway, everything here, time to assemble them

I'll also be ordering poly ARB bushes all round. But waiting for pay day for those.

Was going to fit it all tonight as well, but with having to drive to work for the next couple of days and that being my first trip on the new suspension if I do, I'd rather wait until the weekend when I can take my time and have a nice test run out on them once fitted, so fitted pics will be up on Saturday (before and after shots natch).

So far though, very happy bunny

It was Jezzy that originally posted about them.

They're listed as Saab 9-3 but it's the same basic chassis and they're identical bushes.

    Couple of things....

LOL @ doing it in the house! Yes, its all new so nice and clean but still lol!!

What kind of spanner is that you have for securing the top nut? Looks interesting! This is the one part of DIY suspension upgrades that hinders me. Cannot find a narrow and deep enough one.

Is that your daughter or is it Mrs Highlander?!
