    Default Gesture of goodwill...

After all the hassle I had getting the garage I bought my car from to agree to do the service it should have had before I bought it, They've gone and completely dumbfounded me!

I took the car in at 8am for the service and I've just had a call saying the service is done but there was a fault with the EGR valve so they've replaced it for me free of charge! I was stunned to say the least at this gesture of good will…

I didn't have the heart to tell them that the 'fault' is actually a blanking plate and I haven't got round to having it mapped out of the ecu yet!… Oh well.

So they've replaced the EGR valve even though you've blanked it off? LoL

Yup. They saw the EML light on, decided to find out what it was, Fault came up as EGR so theyve replaced it. I'm assuming they will however have removed the blanking plate in the process.

Will do. Want to get the car mapped at some point but for the time being I'm happy with the EML being on.
