Default Offside track rod end ball joint has slight play

Got this as an advisory in my MOT.
Has anyone replaced these themselves and if so whaat are they like to do?

    also got:
Nearside rear upper torque/reaction arm has slight play in a pin/bush.
    Slight play in steering nearside.

Track rod ends are a doddle to fit, but need tracking afterwards.

Literally wheel off, undo the nut, tap free, loosen the lock-nut, unscrew track rod from the steering rack - refitting is reversal of removal (to coin a phrase). They aren't that expensive, so always recommend doing both sides while you're at it.

    nice one, cheers Dan
from what the advisory says, do you also think it means the inner tie rod aswell, or is that not necessary?

Can't be 100% mate, but I always recommend doing both sides when doing track rod ends.

Mark or count the turns when removing old one, this will help in fitting the new one. Tracking still needs to be done.
