Default Home made swirl spotting torch

Now I have started to do correction work for other people I need the ability to check that the work I have carried out is good and all the swirls are removed which is difficult unless you are in direct sunlight. There are products on the market which do this:

    http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acata...gun-cat10.html

But the price is well out of my budget, so after having a look around DW I found a thread on how to make your own, at around a tenth of the cost. I am sure it will not be as good as a sun gun, but it will do the job fine.

    The items used were:
    12v cordless drill
    1 x 12v downlighter
    1 x 20w brilliant white bulb

    Here is the result

I had to buy a pack of 3 downlighters, as they did not sell them in single's and I was considering making a couple more of these and putting them in the for sale thread, However, I was unsure how much interest there would be. I there are people interested then please give me a PM.

Ill let you know tomorrow mate, the only reason I have done it is the weather is going to be poor and I won't see any correction, so needed to get this done today lol. However everyone that has made it so far have said they are over the moon with it.

The photo against the wall does not do it justice. It is mega bright.

Thanks mate. The total was around £40 but I had to buy a set of 3 lights which was the most expensive bit. So I can make 2 more and will only need to buy the drills.
