    Default pipercross or k&n

    Just wondering what you guys thought was best as a panel filter , pipercross or k&n ??

    if you dont mind me asking mate what sort of performance did you get out of it and does it make a nice sound like a induction kit sort of does.

    K&N offers better filtration over the foam Pipercross filters. Performance wise, for a closed system you'll probably get a slight better throttle response but if its an open filter you'll more than likely lose power over the stock closed system.

    i also went for pipercross and i dont see any difference compared to the k&n which i had in my last 2.2 dti sri

    You get a little bit more noise just with the airbox mod and filter TBH not that much though.

    It freed up the air flow along with the airbox mod. The engine did rev more freely. I felt even more difference wih the de-cat and a stainless quad exhaust with no center box. I have found increasing air flow and reducing back pressure on my DTI makes a marked difference in the way my car runs.
    I had it on the RR just yesterday and she was pulling 139.7 bhp. For the 2.2dti the stock BHP is 123BHP so to come out at a tad less than 140 I was well happy.

    Ming is a lot louder with a k and n have put k&n panel filters in my last 5 cars and always will in the future

    cool k&n filter it is then , also was thinking about having my 19 inch snowflakes sprayed black , what you reckon my cars silver.

    I have black and stainless 18" DTM's on my silver siggy. looks good OMO
