Default Nutter on the bus syndrome

Why do I attract them? Finally got set up to see if I could hobby airbrush some of the nicks on my back bumper, and colour code the reversing sensors, with the paint from a Vx touch up pen and some cellellose thinners. Got there eventually, did the sensors (and checked they still work).
Almost as soon as I got out there, the younger girl from opposite was there, in my face, with a GSD, encouraging it to jump on me. I told her the fumes were toxic, showed her the label on the thinners, and asked her to take the dog away and stand back.
Eventually she took the dog in, but then came back with the usual mind numbing stream of questions "what are you doing, why, with what, what's an airbrush, how long have you had it, where did you get it, how much was it, what's a reversing sensor, how does it work, what does it do, do all cars have them (they watched me fit mine), when will the paint be dry, are you spraying more now, when will you spray more. Have you washed your car today, will you wash it after, will you wash it later, when will you wash it againOnce the paint in the spray cup ran out I came in and packed the stuff away, whether the fumes or her, I had a thumping headache.....

At least she showed some interest... All I get when I lift the bonnet is "I'll have the battery if you're having that!" <points to part I'm working on>

But i got about half a dozen of them, and they think it's the most pant-wetting thing in the history of comedy. Goes to prove that some people are only alive because it's illegal to kill 'em

Blow me if after all the crap we got last week with takeaway stuff, tonight, midnight, someone banged on glass panel in door, hard, 3 times. Opened door on chain to look, no one. Went outside and checked round corner of house, squinted down sides of cars as best I could with no torch. No-one. WTF's going on round here?

Seriously Ian, you need to move away mate. I've lost count of the number of posts you've made now about crap in your area. Nearly 15 years in three different houses and I've never had one thing like you have (current place is so quiet you'd hear a pin drop after about 7pm).

I live on a corner plot and on about 3 occasions over the last 10 years people have done stuff when walking back from the pub. Ive had a planter knicked once, someone banging on the window once and knock and run once that I can remember. Its different people each time (I hope) and still annoying.

Yours is targeted mate, and its probably going to escalate to damage unless its nipped in the bud. Have you got security lighting ? That would be a start, you could be getting up as soon as the light went off to see just who this is. Does your annoying neighbor have teenage kids by any chance ?

I know, most of the posts have been about the one idiot backs on to out garden. Odd thing is, up till last week, it was quiet round here. So quiet when we moved in I couldn't sleep. People don't bother locking their cars or doors half the time
Rob: no, no teenage children. Some security lighting, but no PiR out front - yet.
Bit of a mystery lately. My eldest sone (and probably the younger now) from my first marriage comes to the nightclub in Newport, they've been brought up to hate me, and it's the sort of petty thing he'd do - but he's only been here once and I doubt he could find it again, nor would he know the canal footpath used the first time. he second night, they did go opposite way, towards main road. Was one person first night, two the next, no idea last night. Neighbour out front has teenage lad from same family that girl was driving me nust asking questions, but no motive we know of.
Someone's definitely going to get hurt if I lay hands on someone - or get bound and gagged and locked in a Vec boot all night....
