I had it for about 9 months in my left arm its a very tender condition i tried all the rubs and different supports but can say they really had much affect ... thankfully it eased off and i have been ok for a number of years now ..although i do get the odd twinge just around the "funny bone" i have been rubbing Ibuprofen gel into it which has kept it at bay so far

there are excercises on line that will assist in the recovery of the condition ...but you need to identify the primary cause ...

i had 7 months of sports physio for golfers elbow (and I dont play golf) from playing squash which made the condition worse .. i was referred to an authopedic specialist who told me he wouldnt operate as he would/could worsent the condition and advised me to continue to play Squash and when it hurted ..to stop and rest till it was better ..

6 months later i finally recovered and spent some money on a squash coach who in the first five minutes told me i was holding my racket wrong (sports physio didnt even pick up on it !) and had been for 20 years !! = relearnt to hold my racket and since then only the occasional minor twinge

so if you can identify the cause and correct it ... its going to aid greatly in your recovery and the SPEED of the recovery period too

I had been diagnosed with this also

about a year ago, my elbow started to hurt really badly, even just lifting a bottle of water.

used a support for a while and as I work in computers the cause of the problem was over use of a mouse, so I chose this one and the organization got it for me under health and safety

Its a good taking point when people go past my desk and think I am playing computer games! lol

100 times better now, get a twinge now and again near the funny bone also, but apart from that much better.

I had this and put a post up when I first got it. It took well over a year to heal and had 2 or 3 cortisone injections in my elbow. Best advice is ice and heat and try to control the pain. I also bought elbow supports that had a velcro band around it which you could tighten to increase the pressure on the forearm. This allowed me to train still but the ice is really important to keep the swelling down. As Dez said there are excercises online to help recover from this but honestly it is not a quick fix and you have to learn to live with it, but it does heal!
