    Default 1.8 vvt sri , air box mod and sport filter

    hi people , have not done this to my car yet as dont know if its worth it , has anybody done this to there car and does the air box mod do anything if so how do i go about doing it to mine thanks

    Yes it's worth it. Done the airbox mod and fitted a K&N filter to mine. Smooths out any little rough areas and gives it a bit more poke when you pull away. Don't expect it to drastically improve performance or anything though, you'll need a bigger engine for that

    thanks very much , mines a 07 plate vvt sri with 19 snowflakes on it , only has the car 3 months and love it , the only downside to the car its the rattle on start up and its a bit sluggish in 1st gear , maybe in the near future i might get a remap done ive heard a few people have squeezed and extra 30bhp but that might be a myth lol.

    i love the car so i will spend money on it , i think i will start with a stainless steel exhaust all the way though then put a induction kit on it , then the remap and see what it chucks up.

    There was a thread all about this on here somewhere I read all 19 pages of it yesterday with people's experiences of doing this mod great thread and worth a read

    i did the air filter mod today and i have to say it has worked a treat , car feels smoother through the gears and in 1st gear where it was a bit sloppy has improved a whole lot.
