A/C condenser

I was having a look at the condenser on my wifes 05 Astra which is really in a bit of a mess corrosion wise, and was wondering if the same condition exists with the Vectra-C ones, I do recall reading a few people mentioning changing them.

What is the issue with these is it exposure to the elements or debris damage as I would like to think we could design a fix even as primitive as spraying the bottol couple of inches with a waxoyl type protectant?

I wouldn't touch it to be honest mate, coating it will just make it less efficient.

Mine is dented to ******y and oxidised all over but it still cools perfectly well.
