Default ARB drop link gone again!

Did my drop links in Oct last year to cure the annoying knocking noises.

Had a bit of a knock from the front end recently so got Formula One to stick it up on a ramp today to take a look.

Turns out there's play in the drivers side drop link.

This what happens when I pay £12 a pair on ebay? Or am I just out of luck and ended up with one from a bad batch?

Other people have said the Ebay ones are naff too. The Vauxhall ones are better but you can buy uprated ones from a Saab 93 that will fit too, they're thicker and harder wearing. Can't remember where to get them but someone will be along to tell you soon.

That link is for Saab 9-5 drop links, not sure if they're the same as the 9-3.

Link for 9-3 Drop links is HERE

I have these fitted to my Signum.

Found a site selling the genuine ones for £7 each. Think I'll do that, wish i had in the first place!

The VXR ones are slightly bent to get them around the IDS Suspension struts, however I refitted mines with KW Variant 2 INOX Coilovers so the SAAB uprated ones fit now.

The bar on the SAAB uprated ones is slightly thinner than the VXR ones, but the knuckles seem bigger on the SAAB ones.

Anyways I replaced mine with the SAAB ones (nice shiney chrome). Had no problems so all is good
