    Question Any physics experts???

I have a friend in need of help with this physics question, hopefully there's an expert on here!

The total power output of the sun is about 3.8 x 10^26W, and the power-producing core has a radius of about 1.4 x 10^5km (about 20% of the full radius of the sun).

Using these figures and your knowledge of the energy release in the proton-proton chain, estimate the power density (ie. No of Watts per m^3) in the core of the sun, and the number of the helium nuclei formed per second per cubic meter.

    Please help.

nope, think i'll pass on that one - to think I have an O level in Physics too - albeit about 26 years ago

oh, for the young ones on here a O level is a GCSE

You'll have to type it in English, I can't understand a word of it. I only managed a CSE in Science, way back in 1973.

    I think they're wrong.

Getting a headache now, it's been a few years since physics A-Levels and I don't remember this being covered off. (Maybe I should have payed more attention)

    Grrrrrr.

I dare you to phone EDF Energy Call Centre and explain you need an answer to an energy calculation, quoting the above ^^^
