Default Is it the turbo or the head thats gone

To put you all in the picture
    vectra c 1.9 8v 120

    I got a code of P2279

So I changed the VAC pipes and the EGR valve
The car started with just one turn on the key (100% better)

Took the car for a 200 mile run the day after

Noticed that I had more low down power and the turbo now working again with very little smoke from the back.
Now the car has another problem around 2000 to 2500 rev's
Its like a kangaroo or driving through puddles below 2000 revs its fine. and above 2500 revs its fine.

5 days later and NOW I HAVE HAD ENOUGH

On my way home today, engine under load, I heard a loud pop and then a hiss (as though air was being released from a compressor or a tyre blowing)
At the same time, no power at all and white smoke from the back.

I was only 1 mile from home so was able to limp the thing home in a cloud of white smoke.

I put a code reader on it to see

P2279-11 Intake Air System Leak Detected
P0180-07 Fual Temperature Sensor Circuit High Input
P0130-03 O2 Sensor Circuit Low Voltage (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
P0234-5A Boost Pressure Control Circuit Negative Deviation

I have checked the pipes and none have split or popped off that I can see.

The water level and oil level both look OK

The car will still start but with white smoke out the back
    (the smoke smells oilly)

My only fear is that either the head has gone , the inlet manifold or the turbo has gone.

Any advice or comments welcome or if your in West Lothian come and have a look and laugh at the very sick vectra c

I don't think any sensors can detect a faulty headgasket so you should rule that out.

Could be the intercooler thats split. From the description of the noise it sounds like you have a leak somewhere! thats also what your fault codes point too imo.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Didn't even think about the intercooler.

This will need to be checked.

This year alone the car has had
    2 x springs
    1 x alternator
    1 x battery
    1 x DMF
    1 x full clutch kit
    1 x EGR valve
    1 x MAF
    1 x MAP
    2 x VAC Pipes

the list goes on, anyone would thing I was trying to build a new car
