Something sticks in my mind that you may have to temporarily refit the VX head unit, let it update the time and date, and then re-swap back in the new H/U..

    prob wrong thou

Well I was just wandering what the time has got to do with the headunit ???
I have a Sony headunit, and I still change my time with the buttons on the right hand stalk, the fuel computer one, just like I always have ???
I don't have mine set to auto update, but the option is still there should I choose to use it.

From what i have heard you can't change the time without the standard head unit (prob could via tech 2 perhaps?) i am in the same boat mate fitted after market stereo on an 06 sri the clock has been 5 mins fast (will be worse after weekend) for ages but on have trip computer functions of rollers on steering wheel now!

Not going to lose sleep over it even though it is a little annoying!

Us mortals with newer models do not have buttons on the stalk to change the settings.

It is done by the RDS on the radio. Refit and wait is the only way for us
