    Default Petrol in Diesel engine

    Hi Ive got a big problem, the wife has just rang and said she put petrol in (Diesel engine), Its 15ltr and the tank was low.
    She realised when the car was spluttering......Sooo do I fill up the remainder with V power diesel and run it or drain it???

    Its a 2005 CDTI 120!

    Brim it with diesel and get a new fuel filter once you work it through. The other option is VERY expensive,,,

    er if i was you i would drain a few leters is fin but 15 omg you will need a new diesel filter aswell and the full lot bleedin
    Vectra vxr custome remaps egr deletes dpf and diagnostic work all remaps are custome bench tuning avalible all genuine equipment PM for info

    That's a lot, the damage is done as its been started and will be through the system. It needs the fuel drained and the fuel filter replaced.

    are they a 65 litre tank? if so you will probably get away with filling it to the brim and changing the filter.

    20% petrol to 80% diesel should get away with it

    20% 65litres =15litres

    thats what i said maybe a few litres max but 15 far to meny even to brim with diesel still wouldnt help not now

    I agree there's to much in the tank to risk it.

    sorry, it's too much. any more than 5 litres in a cdti is probably risking it - 15L is far too much!
    get it drained by the aa or someone. it'll be cheaper than a new engine - hopefully not too much damage has already been caused.
