    Default richbrook door pins

    as anybody got there door pins fitted, so that when the doors are locked the pins dont show? (just like the normal plastic factory ones) its it possible?

    im pretty sure that generally they do show even with after market door pins,
    im not sure how i did it but i took the door card off the other day and when i put it back on the door pin is lower, so its possible but not sure how

    im concidering trimming them down..... also the back ones sit higher then the fronts

    if you take the door card off then u may be able to bend the wire there attatched to to make them stick up less?

    I cut the rears with a dremel to make them sit correctly.

    I'll take some pics of them on the car and post them up shortly.

    Mine were second hand, may be Irmscher, have twin rubber O rings. The rear ones were trimmed to sit at same height of fronts, but even at best I could do, the bottooooooom O ring and above shows.

    Hope this helps.

    I did want them to go a tiny bit lower but then that means removing the door cards. A bit too much hassle just to fit door pins.

    Heres what mine look like.

    Rears cut down to around 42mm

    thanks, all. cheers for the pics! im going to saw them down to same lengh in photo. just been looking at them, it wont be possible to get them fully down when locked.

    cutting the pins down won't make them sit any lower unless your cutting that length off the top of the pin! it's the depth of the hole or the length of the rod that defines the height of the pin! you will need to drill the hole of the doorpin deeper or cut the rod shorter
