    Question Couple of I.C.E questions

    Hey guys,
I had a couple of questions regarding potential I.C.E in the vectra.

    1) I will be fitting a double din head unit, how snug is the fit or will I need to buy some sort of fascia?
If so which one do you guys go for?

    2) What size are the speakers in the front and rear?

    3) Are speaker pods required for the front or rear?
If so which ones do you guys go for?

    4) With regards to installation, has anyone ever run 0AWG through the car? is it easy, and which side did you run it down (drivers/passenger)

    5) Is there already an un-used grommet somewhere in the vec for passing the 0AWG cable from the battery into the car or do you usally have to drill your own?

That's all I can think of for now
any pictures of your guys installs would be interesting, I'm just purchasing the last few bits for mine

    1. Yes you need a fascia kit. The standard double din cage that comes with radios won't fit, so you make sure you buy one with a cage too.

    2. All Vec C speakers are 6.5"

    3. Yes, the Halfords plastic ones will do, but your front door panels will bulge slightly if you use them (the fit the back fine), alternatively knock some up out of MDF.

    4. Haven't run 0awg but have got 2 x 4awg running down the passenger side (see my thread in the ICE forum for pics).

    5. Most people punch the cables through the main grommet behind the glove box (again pics in my ICE thread).

Last time I did an ICE upgrade was with my Vec B. Headunit makes by far the biggest difference. I put an Alpine unit in and when I heard it I didn't bother replacing the speakers.

Hmm, apparently I changed my picture numbering format after posting my post in that thread as the picture is not what I was describing lol

Just found that I created this thread.
I'm going to be ordering some components for both the front and back of my car
So I need 17cm/6.5" speakers for both.
How easy is it to mount the components for both of these?
and where is the best place to get the speaker pods from?
    Cheers!
