Default V6 CDTi no power below 2200rpm

Can anyone help me with this....2007 Signum 3.0V6 CDTi Auto.... dangerous loss of power below 2200 rpm with lots of black smoke. When the revs hit 2200 the wheels spin and the thing goes like a scalded cat. EGR replaced, MAF replaced, turbo veins cleaned, DPF cleaned (and hole poked through the middle with a long screwdriver). I've now come to the conclusion that it's the boost sensor or something to do with the turbo boost anyway but as theres no ****** room I can't find the boost sensor!

So if anyone can help me locate it or suggest something else that they've experienced I would be very grateful as this car is driving me nuts. I love it but at the moment I'm tempted to set fire to it!

    Any help appreciated. Thanks.

The pressure boost sensor is right on toip of the air intake where the air intake come in. part no 97353014. Check the connection and clean the valve with carb cleaner first. How did you clean turbo veins ?

Yes m8, take the engine cover off and locate the black plastic pipe that feeds the throttle body - it's the large tube at the top of the engine. About in the middle of it, there is a sensor held in by one screw - it has a small (3 or 2 wires) loom / plug going to it.

Power delivery on the V6 should be useful above 1000rpm with the turbo becoming noticeably useful at 1400-1500, then 1800, on song, then pulling like a train from that... it all should be quite a smooth process, not "all or nothing".

Out of interest, does the car still do DPF regens, now you stuffed a hole through it??

Brilliant, thanks guys. I cleaned the turbo veins using an Innotec product

    http://www.innotecworld.com/c-1064-turbo-clean-set.aspx

I originally bought it to clean the turbo on my Iveco truck but found out that it isn't a variable-vein turbo so it wasn't worth using the cleaner.....when this problem started to develop on the Smegma I thought I'd give it a go. Don't know yet if it did any good but it didn't do any harm. A friend of mine used it on an Audi and really rated it.

Again, I can't tell you if the DPF still regens as the car is all but underiveable but once I get this problem sorted I'll let you know.

I had this problem with mine. Put all sorts of cleaner through the turbo but made no difference. Send turbo to turbo technic they cleaned turbo and reset all setting and now it runs like a dream.
