My car is back, & it's a brute!

My car was in Bicknells today to have the longstanding loss of power fixed.

Well I think they've taken the old engine out & stuck a brute in there!

The car is more responsive & powerful now than I can remember it being.

They even asked me to give them a few minutes before I collected the car so they could clean it

It was like having a new car when I picked it up, it was riffy as I've had no time to clean it.

Top marks to Bicknells in Great Bridge. Even the courtesy car was good, an Astra estate, very clean & not bad to drive either.

Cheers Harry, when the fault develops over a period of time you don't realise, until it becomes dreadful.

I really noticed how bad it was when I followed Steve to Thruxton, he was way way more powerful.

Since then it got worse, to the point where it struggled to rev over 2500rpm.

Strangely the spanner has only come on very occasionally (3-4 times) though.

Hope it's sorted for good now.

Not sure what to do with the CR1, I'm a bit worried about refitting it in case I kn@cker things up again.

I know Steven, the Astra was a good car but it felt great to climb back into mine.

I nearly crashed though, it took off from an island much quicker than I expected & I had to flipping steer & brake a bit quick otherwise I'd have been heading back up the road to the dealer

It caused a clenching in the underpants region I can tell you

I had been out of mine for a week, then did it first day I got back in. Was raining hard too.
