Default Disable Fog Light Bulb Warning

    Hi guys,

My work has a Vectra pool car which had an altercation with a tree during the high winds a few months back. The front bumper was quite badly damaged and has since been replaced with a used unit off of eBay.

The new bumper is on and the car is looking presentable again, however, when fitting, I realised it wasn't the same as the bumper I originally had and I now have no way of fitting the fog lights back in.

Being a pool car, I this is no huge issue and we can happily live without these, but I now have the annoying dash board warning advising me that there is a bulb out in a fog light ... little does it know!!

Can you guys advise if it is possible to disable this at all? Is it just case of removing the fuse for the front fogs?

    Thanks,

    Stephen

    i may be wrong .

but if you have the black coloured plastic blanks on the new bumper .

can you not just pop them out and insert the old black plastick " with " the fog lights already in fixing the dash warning problem .

maybe they are bonded or even screwed on ,

i am sure someone will come on here and tell us .

i hope you get it sorted .

    Thanks for the reply.

You thought the same as me, however, it turns out the bumper with fog lights has different sized inserts and my inserts do not fit in this bumper.

If you still have the wiring can you not just put some bulbs into the connectors etc?

add pictures with the new and old bumper so we can make an idea. I assume you had a gts bumper and now have the stander one.

I have no idea what bumper I had originally. I still have it though and will try and get some pictures of both if required ... or at least so no one else makes the same mistake!!

    Hi Ken,

    Thanks for the response.

Can you advise how to do this?
