    Lightbulb Boot popper

Not sure if this has already been posted, sorry if it has!

But, I was wondering if it is possible to convert a standard boot catch into a popper like on the saab 9-5's where you can pop it via fob or button inside?

So instead of having to press the external button on the boot lid, you could press the button in the door or fob.

    Thanks guys and gals.

I'm sure you could do it (given pressing the lock in just activates a switch that turns on a motor), but you'd have to make a small circuit to pick up the 'allow boot to be unlocked' signal from the central locking control (ie pressing the boot unlock button on the keyfob or door switches) and short out the switch.

You'd probably want to have some sort of lockout on it too, in case you hit the boot unlock button when trying to operate an electric window at 70mph. Also need to do something about when you unlock all the doors as the boot may pop open.

So in my opinion, it's not impossible, but is it worth it?
