    Default Suspension upgrade in Design

    Hello,

I haven't posted here for a while, mainly due to no problems with my car. However after 4 years of service, my Vectra failed MOT today because of broken rear coils. I'm not fussed to much because I've always wanted to do some upgrade to my Veccy suspension.

I've found some springs @LMF VX and was thinking about Eibach Pro kit. However this will drop Veccy by 30mm, what I'm not very concerned about. What I'm concerned about are shock absorbers. Bilstein B6 costs a little fortune I'm not likely to spend (it'd be 1/4 car value!). But what about B4? Will they suit my car (Design, not lowered) and mentioned springs?

What if I wouldn't like to lower the car? Which springs would be the best?

Thanks for your help and all advises.

the design run on the same as sri ...so dropping it by 30mm will not be that much .
your standard shocks will be fine .

Hmmm, that is new to me, that Design is at the same hight as SRi... It'd be great if I could go with B4s

BTW - is the price £80 for front and £40 for rear absorbers and coils change (including VAT) OK?

The Signum design is the same as the SRI but the vectra design is 15mm higher than the SRI so it would be a full 30mm drop for the vectra, I did it with normal shocks and it was fine

Thanks chaps for your replies. However now I’m even more confused…

I decided to go with standard shocks and springs either from Lesjofors of KYB. Now, the problem is I’m not sure if I should go for ‘regular’ or sport suspension ones. Can you help?
