does this replace the standard white bottle which appears to be fixed to the bulkhead?

No mate. It goes in between the Cam breather and the intake manifold or pipe to the TB. It can potentially help the CDTi 150 from failing swirl flaps by stopping oil getting into the manifold and mixing with soot from the EGR.

Its easy for your 2.2 petrol mate. Take the little pipe off the cam cover that goes to the intake pipe, then put one end of your breather kit pipe on the cam cover, the other to the input side of the catch tank and the fit the other pipe from the catch tank back to the intake pipe.
