If you go on:

www.mytyres.co.uk

you can go to complete wheels, select steel rims with winter tyres,
choose your car and it will tell you the size that fits.

For my Vectra, it comes up with 15" or 16".

Dumb question, but no problems replacing 17" wheels for 16" steel rims for winter tyres?

On the bay few month ago before anyone even thought of winter a set of zafira 5x110 16" steelies and half decent tyres sold for £9!!!! Yes nine pound! I think its a case of been lucky what area they pop up in and if anyone else wants them within the area! Alot of them is collection only anyway.

Does it matter what size of tyre is fitted to the 16'' steels as I worked it out and the total size of the steel wheel with tyre is slighter smaller than the total size of the alloy and tyre, cheers Gaz.

I,m putting 15" on with 65 tyres if you are using a 16" I,m assuming you'll use a 60 tyre to keep the overall diameter and the gearing and speedo roughly the same
