Default Steel wheels On an SRi

Planning for the winter by looking at some snow tyres but not wanting to get them for my SRi alloys, but want to get some steelies so it is easier to change them when snow arrives.

Would a 15 inch rim fit on the CDTi SRi? Or would I need to look for some 16 inch steelies?

think 15in would look/be to small . you should be able to find a cheap set off 16ins just for the winter . khalid

15's seem to have gone the way of the Dodo, even base model astra's and vectra's have 16 inch steelies.

There's loads on ebay - just with huge postage, need to go have a look in the car crushers, he is bound to have a couple kicking around!?

I thought the 15's would have been too small, just wanted confirmation.

I would only be interested in 2 for the front (not meaning that I thought you were trying to sell on the fly!)

I had Sunews on the back last winter and swapped them to the front for the summer to get some wear from them before they become too cracked for general use, to say they are crap is an understatement. I panic when changing lanes on the dual carriageway!! Never felt anything from them on the back though so would just be needing snow tyres for the driven wheels.

    lol - yeah, I wasn't hinting at a sale / wanted !!

As said, postage for wheels would double (or triple) the cost of them so would need to source locally!
