    Default Horizontal tailgate alignment

    Hi.
I have a 2002 vectra c sxi and have had problems with the boot warning light keep coming on. I have adjusted the catch to the point now where it is off centre so that the tailgate shuts. Now when I look at the tailgate from the back when it is closed, the gap between the side panel and tailgate is larger on one side.
My question is, can I adjust the tailgate to make it centre and if so, how?

    Any help will be great.

    Thanks

Just adjust the catch up. There's little markers which should help you line it up.

if you look under the roof lining in the back you can adjust the hinge plates to get it more square, had to do this when i fitted a new tailgate to a mates car to get gap even

    Thanks ditchp.

Is the lining easy to remove and do you need to remove all of it?
Never done that before so a bit worried.

you can just pull down the back of it rather than removing the whole thing. i did this to fit rear interior light. To make it easier, remove the interior grab handles at the back doors although if you are just adjusting the hindges you might get away without doing it.
