    Default Rear Spoiler Question

After buying a rear spoiler of fleabay (I know don't say a word), I booked it in with our local bodyshop for spraying and fitting only to find it's 2-3mm too long. The fixing bolts are within the boot but there would be a slight over hang on the edges.
Is there anywhere you can buy a spoiler off the shelf, so you can see it fits before you buy ? I'm based in Suffolk and need it fairly quick as I have a booking at the bodyshop.

Could it possibly be flexed in the middle causing the legs to spread (oo-err Mrs) or is it a solid piece?

What spoiler is it, you should always flex them a touch anyway as that way they wont ever sag, if you look at some of the cheap BMW ones sagging, thats cos they havnt got any tension in them... HTH...

It seems pretty solid, not much flexibility. I'm trying to upload some picsAttachment 45751

Thanks for that Lizard, surprised the guy at the bodyshop didn't pick up on that though. It is only a case of 2 or 3 mm's, but obviously I want it to fit flush with the edges of the boot. I have it booked in for Tuesday, so wanted to make sure I had something ready for then. I'll tell the guy what you have told me and hope he can flex it to fit, does seem pretty rigid though. Did it take much to flex it ?
Your car looks superb by the way, great job !

Its not hard to flex it matey, tell him not to bolt it down tight with the first leg he fits, just virtually all the way, then it will flex, it doesnt need much flexing atall to get it to fit, If I was nearer I'd fit it for you...

    Cheers for the comments too...

    Clive...
