any one know about ford's

sorry to ask on here, but my neighbour poped over yesterday while my car was in bits and asked if i could look at his.

now i know little about ford's but thought i would ask on here to see if anyone could help.

hes driving a 1.6 focus 2002 and hes suffering from a lack of power could happen at 20mph could happen at 70mph. he has found himself having to pump the throttle to get the car moving and getting a juddering in the car while driving. but on the other hand it can drive fine

i suggest is it like a missfire he said no just really had to pump it to get it going sometimes.

there are no engine management lights showing or any thing else that would suggest a fault.

Spark plugs ever been changed?

ztecs suffer from heat soak on the plugs, i used to change mine every 12 months, seemed to cure the problem

sweet, away to fit new plugs, and give it an oil change the now. see how we get on with that. wonder if there is away to read codes like on the vec with the pedal test. hmmmmm away to browse a few fordy forums!
