Hi all
I've got an '04 signum with Plain Old headlights, and i gather there's a switch/ever to swap them to continental alignment - I don't mind dazzling the frogs, but i'd rather not get pulled over
any ideas where the lever is?

Take the rear cover off the main beam headlamp (the hard plastic one). Look to the side and you'll see a flat white plastic lever, that's the one you need to adjust on both headlamps.
For RH drive vehicles they need to be as follows....
LH headlamp - Lever up
RH lamp - lever down
and obviously the reverse of that when you're back in the UK. (There should be a bit in your manual under Headlights>Driving Abroad)
If you can't find the lever let me know and I'll try and post a pic. I say try because it'll be a bit of a bu**er to get a camera in to take a pic!!
BTW - you'll find removing the screen wash bottle filler neck will make it a darn site easier to get into the lever on that side!

Hi Duncan,
Does the screenwash filler neck just unscrew?
Thanks,
Adam
What happens about the rear fog light? Shouldn't that be on the other side too?
................And you might like to get some elastoplast and Dettol in stock, because, if you've got paws the size of mine, you'll need em!

If you really want that authentic french 2CV driver headlamp effect, simply kick one light in and adjust the other to perfectly aim at the oncoming traffic, the latter can be a little hard to get just right but the effect is well worth itOriginally Posted by anthonyeeles

LOL at above.
I can't believe there is only one rear foglight. Vauxhall/Opel are such cheapskates! The rear clusters are symmetrical, so why not fit 2? I'm guessing you could acquire some bits from a LHD car and fit a left foglamp, too? If that is the case, you'd only need the bulb holder, wouldn't you? An easy mod if that is the case.
