Im not sure standard headunits have the remote turn on wire. For this you'll need to splice into a 12v ignition live wire. Make sure its not a constant on or you'll kill the battery!
For the earth, there are plenty of earth points behind the panelling, near the light clusters. There is actually one being used as an earth point.
Cheers you know were a Good 12v ingniton wire that's not constant
Personally, no lol. I've got an aftermarket hu so didn't have to find one.
Ahh right anyone else? And will I get good bass
For the remote wire when you remove your ash tray there is a taped up wire on cig lighter i used that in my son's astra as he wanted to keep his original h/u as for the earth on passenger side in boot next to the fuse box there is a bolt with a nut in the corner i also used this as earth in my car and also on son's astra as it is fixed to the body hope this help's M8.
Cheers bud hopefully have one at weekend what's the sound like any idea
Its pretty Good was just a basic mutant sub and amp from Halfords that i fitted into his astra just redone my boot at the weekend still to post pics as waiting till slightly dark as will show pu leds better as raised the floor and put in perspex window in floor so amp is visible with some imitation metal flooring round the hole i cut with blue led strips above the sub and amp has leds built in to it looks ok.
Sounds good man am just getting a vibe fli 12 with built in amp am wanting to put led strips in for boot light as normal one is pants lol
