rear light lenses

Was pottering around on ebay and come across some rear smoked lenses for the vectra c. I remember reading somewhere that you cant replace the lens itself (pretty sure i read it when someone complained about green algae inside the lens).

So whats the point in buying one of these lenses if you cant fit um and you have to buy the complete cluster from vx anyway ?

just one at random, they all seem pretty much the same though (just different styles like yellow indicator film or smoked plastic)

Are you sure it's just the outter lens, and not the refective bits inside as well?

ah right yeah. ive never had the lights apart so i dunno how they go together.

so it looks like the lens and the reflector are removeable from the cluster but you just cant seperate the lens from the reflector ?

correct and the green algae is a pig to get out

cool, does anyone know the part number from vx for the lens and reflector? or a rough price ? might just replace my cracked one when my trade card comes through if its cheaper than buying two new uns

Has anyone bought these non GM ones ? and are they any good ?

hard to tell exactly what they are like from a stock picture, are they supposed to look like this when fitted.



or are the cheap smokes not half as near as good ?


My main concern is whether they fit properly or not. If i cant trust them id rather just pay the £80 and get the genuine VX one to replace the cracked one. But if there generally ok from ebay, i may as well get these since there cheaper and should look better
